Russell is Announced for Nashville Meets London 2017 Music Festival

The 2017 lineup has been announced for the highly anticipated music festival, Nashville Meets London, set for July 22-23 in Canada Square Park, Canary Wharf. This year’s talent lineup includes US-based acts Ashley Campbell, Russell Dickerson, Sam Outlaw, Angaleena Presley, Jo Smith, and Lucie Silvas, along with UK-based acts Flats & Sharps, Wildwood Kin, Kevin McGuire, and Raintown.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Russell Dickerson has “possibly written one of the sweetest love songs in country music” in “Yours” (Taste of Country), a single impacting Country radio today that is resonating with tens of millions of fans having already garnered more than 30 million Spotify streams and 3 million-and-counting views for the music videoto date.
On the heels of Dickerson wrapping the first leg of Thomas Rhett’s Home Team Tour with a two-night, blowout that was “a little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n roll and a whole lot of fun” (The Tennessean) in Dickerson’s hometown of Nashville, Tenn., streaming and SiriusXM hit, “Yours,” impacts terrestrial radio today, April 24.
The lyrics of “Yours” address the transformative power of love – not just about completing someone with the discovery of your soul mate, but of changing that person for the better: The worst me is just a long-gone memory/You put a new heartbeat inside of me/You make me better than I was before/Thank God I’m yours.
Penned with longtime friends and frequent collaborators Casey Brown and Parker Welling, "Yours" has been dubbed the wedding song of the year by SiriusXM. The “hypnotic” (CMT) singer has even surprised several couples performing the emotional tribute as a surprise at their  wedding.
"It’s a rare and incredible thing to have a song go from being yours to someone else’s," Russell reflects. “There have been so many incredible moments already – from hearing how this song is the soundtrack to a relationship, to being played during the moment they got engaged or as their first dance, to wedding anniversaries – and I’m so proud of that as a writer; the biggest compliment you can receive is that you helped provide the words to describe how something feels.”
Dickerson is the first artist to sign with Triple Tigers Records, a joint venture between Sony Music, Thirty Tigers and Triple 8 Management for label representation and is the flagship act on the label.

Dickerson's EP, available now, features "Yours" and "Blue Tacoma."

Triple Tigers Records Signs Russell Dickerson

MONDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2016 - 10:30AM

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville-based artist development and marketing company Thirty Tigers and Triple 8 Management have entered into a strategic partnership with Sony Music Entertainment to create Triple Tigers Records, a new label imprint focused on country music that will be led by veteran radio promotion executive Norbert Nix, it was announced today.

The imprint’s first signing is Russell Dickerson

The formation of the imprint builds upon the successful collaboration among Thirty Tigers, Triple 8 and Sony Music across multiple project releases over the last five years, including now Columbia Nashville artist and Triple 8 client, Chase Rice. Thirty Tigers and Triple 8 teamed to release Rice’s 2014 Ignite The Night, with Norbert Nix and Columbia's radio promotion staff added. The album was certified Gold, crossing 800,000 albums sold, and resulted in two Top 5 Billboard singles at Country radio—one of which is RIAA-certified Platinum.

Nix will serve as general manager for Triple Tigers and oversee a dedicated promotion staff for the imprint. Previously he spent more than a decade with Sony Music Nashville driving airplay for numerous hits from the label group’s artist roster in a series of promotion roles. Most recently he was VP of promotion for Columbia Nashville, where, as part of his responsibilities, he worked closely with Thirty Tigers and Triple 8 on the promotion campaign for Rice.

"I’m very fortunate to have formed significant relationships with country radio programmers over the years, as we’ve worked together developing hits and breaking artists," said Nix. "Russell Dickerson is the next chapter in that relationship. The decision to sign Russell to Triple Tigers Records was unanimous, as we believe in his great music and star potential. I look forward to engaging in this quest with David, George and Bruce."

Thirty Tigers has been key in the early development of Rice, Old Dominion, Aaron Watson, Granger Smith, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell and more, while Triple 8 has broken Eli Young Band, Sam Hunt and Chase Rice. Nix has decades of breaking country radio singles. Triple Tigers brings together 60 people plus a dedicated full national country radio promotion team, that equals a uniquely strong powerhouse team with track records all around.

In connection with the deal, Thirty Tigers has entered into a long-term extension of its distribution agreement with Sony Music’s independent distribution arm, RED, which also will handle distribution for releases from Triple Tigers.

“We are really enjoying working in the commercial country arena, and we are thrilled to be in business with Sony Music, Triple 8 and Norbert Nix on this imprint,” said Thirty Tigers President and Partner of Triple Tigers Records David Macias. “We have had a lot of success in working with Sony Music, and we are very happy to be expanding and extending our relationship with them through this deal. We've also had a very long and productive relationship with Triple 8, who have been very successful in the country world for some time. And we are thrilled to have Norbert serving as general manager. He is a well-known and highly respected executive who knows how to break acts through country radio. The opportunity for us all to work together on Triple Tigers was a no brainer."

Said Dennis Kooker, President, Global Digital Business and U.S. Sales, Sony Music Entertainment, “We’re thrilled to be extending our successful distribution relationship with Thirty Tigers, and to be joining forces with them for this new imprint. Thirty Tigers is an innovator in cultivating new artists and providing cutting-edge label and artist services, and they have been a great partner in Nashville. We look forward to even more success in working with them and the talented team at Triple 8 Management to develop hit artists through Triple Tigers.”

"Triple 8 and Thirty Tigers are already partners in many ways, so this label was a welcomed step for all of us," said Triple 8 Management's Bruce Kalmick. "Adding in a great leader like Norbert Nix was icing on the cake."

Russell Dickerson TOPS the BILLBOARD chart

Rising country singer Russell Dickerson crowns Heatseekers Albums with his YOURS, EP launching with 3,000 copies sold in the week ending January 21, according to Nielsen Music. The effort also bows at No. 14 on Top Country Albums.

The title cut has done well for the singer through streaming services, racking up 3.3 million on-demand audio streams. The song nabbed 306,000 streams in the frame ending January 21 (up 4 percent). Dickerson has yet to visit the Hot Country Songs or Country Airplay Charts.

In country music, the only artists that are played on FM radio are the artists signed to record labels, but not as of this friday. KNIX in Phoenix broke the rules and their regular programming to play the song Matt had discovered 2 days earlier. He called it "Such a pure love song" and "a huge hit." Just like that, YOURS played on FM radio for the first time in America. The last time that Matt broke regular programming was to play "Cruise" by FGL. Russell had received a tweet from the station that morning telling him to call in and they would play his latest single. Next thing Russell knew, he was on the phone with his first radio interview, ever. When asked if Russell knew who he was on the phone with, they went on to tell him they are a major station in Phoenix that has been around for 40 years. They said "Man, it's like putting on cleats and walking on a major league field."
